Cynthia Nustad has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at HMS since February 2011. As CIO, Cynthia is responsible for the company’s technology strategy, driving product innovation, leading software business divisions and teaming to grow the business.
Ms. Nustad’s 20 years of information technology management experience spans technical start-ups to complex Fortune 100 companies and includes executive experience in enterprise technology and business transformation. She has held a variety of technology executive leadership positions at several companies including Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield now Cambia, OAO Healthcare Solutions, and Anthem. She brings extensive experience in technology and healthcare to HMS and she is an active industry speaker.
Nustad earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), a master’s degree in public health from UCLA, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Oregon. She and her teams have received numerous industry awards and in 2013 she was awarded the Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader award.
